About Me

I've been a runner since 1959 when I ran track in high school. After that I became a road runner, then a trail runner and eventually an ultrarunner. I've run some 100-mile trail races and a lot of 50 miles trail ultras as well.

Now that I'm 70 and retired, I finally have the time to tackle the AT. While I've never been much of a camper, that comes with the territory, so this will be a new learning experience. Since I love being on just about any trail, I'm looking forward to 2,189 miles of trails this year.
