Two section hikers were standing on the trail, hesitant to move on. When we reached them, they warned us that there was a snak on the trail, but they did not know what kind it was.  Doyle and I took a look, and sure enough, it was a rattle snake, about five feet long.  Basking in the sun, it did not seem to be interested in us.
