I realize that I would rather be out hiking and finding beauty in nature any day, rather than sitting at home watching TV. These birches were gorgeous.
Vermont doesn't have a lot of thru hikers yet; most are section hikers, like this Boxer, Sydney.
No, I really didn't need this junk food, but another section hiker mentioned the place to me and it was only 0.2 miles off the trail.
I just love walking through hay fields.
